Koffee Klatch attracts a rather eclectic, youthful crowd and the Laguna Beach coffee shop is busy from dawn to late nights. In fact, Koffee Klatch is the only coffee shop in Laguna Beach that is not only open when creative types are just getting their days started, but they are the only establishment in Laguna Beach I consider on par with fun Internet cafés one might find in Europe or Asia.
You might bump into author Niki Smart, entreprenuerer Ty Loomis, publisher David Morse, or KX93.5 founder, Tyler Russell. No matter what time you go, thought-provoking conversation awaits you. Or you can bury your eyes on your laptop screen and happily pretend no one else in the world exists but you.
Koffee Klatch has an outdoor area across the corridor from Handmade Hearts Gallery, which you should visit for affordable handmade hearts by “heartest” Hillel Rzepka. Bounce, the friendly dive bar catering to a gay crowd (and wonderfully reeking of stale beer), is located on the south side of Koffee Klatch.
The food at Koffee Klatch is worth trying. The coffee is no better and no worse than your typical coffee house, and their prices are comparable to everyone else in town. Swanky lighting, intimate alcoves, a stimulating buzz, and abundant electrical outlets is what makes Koffee Klatch the most desirable coffee shop in Laguna Beach any time of day or night.
Koffee Klatch is owned by Sam Omar, who established the restaurant 15 years ago.
